The District of Sechelt welcomes expressions of interest from residents to fill five vacancies on the Advisory Planning Commission for a two-year term from January 2019 to December 2020.
The APC acts in an advisory capacity to Council and makes recommendations on matters respecting land use, community planning, and proposed amendments and initiatives related to the Official Community Plan (OCP) and Zoning Bylaw. Meetings are held on the second Thursday each month from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Council seeks members with a range of interests and expertise in community planning, environmental issues, social planning, and urban design. Council will consider such factors as geographic representation, occupation, related experience/expertise, and demonstrated community service. The objective is to arrive at a group which is as representative as possible of the community.
If you are interested, please submit a written expression of interest to the Planning & Development Services Department by close of business (4:30pm) on Monday, January 21, 2019 and include:

2) A short statement or resume of your background, knowledge, experience and interests.
